Russian Fishery Company will construct new factory for processing cod and haddock in Murmansk

27.06.2018

The Russian Fishery Company (RFC) in partnership with the Agama Group will construct “Russian Cod” processing factory at the Northern Fishery Basin. The processing capacity of the factory will be 60 tons of finished products per day. The Company plans to put the factory into operation at the end of 2019.

The factory will be equipped with modern high-tech equipment and will allow producing high-quality fish products - cod and haddock fillet and mince. Total investment into the project is planned at the level up to $12 ml. Starting from 2020 RFC will receive additionally 2,300 tons of cod and haddock quota (1,800 for cod and 500 for haddock) once “Russian Cod” factory is commissioned.

“The construction of the “Russian Cod” factory is one of the major projects of the RFC strategy to increase the share of high value-added products in our portfolio, - said Andrey Teterkin, CEO of the Russian Fishery Company. - The company has also started projects to build a coastal factory "Russian Pollock" at Far East and a series of large-capacity trawler-processors, the first of which will be put into operation in 2020. These projects will provide the company with a new level of efficiency in the production of high-quality products, which will ensure long-term business competitive position”.
